Your photos

Before upload, your photo is resized in your browser and re-saved as a JPEG, which removes metadata such as GPS location. When you press restore, that JPEG is sent to our server and forwarded to a third-party AI image service that runs the restoration. The result is returned to your browser once. We do not store your photo or the result in any database, file storage or log. The AI service processes the image under its own terms and may keep technical logs for a limited time; do not upload photos you are not comfortable sending to such a service.

What we do store

  • Email addresses you submit (waitlist, checkout, feedback), only to contact you about that request.
  • Usage events such as page views and button clicks, tied to a random anonymous id kept in your browser. No third-party analytics.
  • A salted hash of your IP address to enforce daily limits and prevent abuse. We do not store the raw address.
  • Job records: time, mode (restore or colorize), image dimensions and whether it succeeded. Never the image.
  • Credit balance tied to the anonymous id in your browser.

Cookies and storage

One first-party cookie and local storage keys hold your anonymous id and the A/B variant you were shown. Cloudflare Turnstile checks you are human on forms and restores; it is loaded from Cloudflare.

Deleting your data

Use “Questions or ideas? Tell us” at the bottom of any page and include the email you used; we will delete the records tied to it.
